FAQ
-
Where are your classes located?
Our classes are located in many different locations. We meet with students at public libraries, teacher classrooms, student homes, community centers or schools. We also offer virtual/online sessions.
-
Can you help my child with a learning disability?
Yes! We are proud to be able to teach ALL children, regardless of their unique learning differences. Our dedicated team also supports parents by helping them find a variety of helpful resources, and we are happy to attend IEP meetings whenever needed to ensure your child gets the best possible support.
-
What guarantee do you offer?
We follow state standards and use Renaissance software to assess each student. We create a personalized program to meet their needs. For example, a child reading at 1.2 (1st grade, 2nd month) will improve to at least 1.6–1.8 reading level within 8 weeks.
If your child doesn’t show the promised progress, we will keep working with them for free until they do.
-
How long is each class?
Our classes are 2 hours, once a week for a total of 16 hours. We know there are some students who do better with 1 hour sessions twice a week. We are able to adjust to your child’s needs.
-
Do you help with homework?
We can help with homework and encourage kids to bring their school work to sessions. Our goal is to boost your child's learning by 4-6 months in 8 weeks. We can't promise all homework will be finished, but we want to understand classroom progress and help your child feel confident to participate and answer questions.
-
How are teachers vetted?
Our teachers are all fully licensed professionals with at least 3 to 5 years of valuable classroom experience. In addition to their expertise, they possess a deep understanding of how to support and assist your specific child in a caring and encouraging way.
